Violet Evergarden Review

Violet Evergarden is a Japanese light novel series written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase.

I first heard of Violet Evergarden from a friend, someone who is more addicted to animes and mangas. He suggested months before I actually started watching the anime. But when I begin to follow the story, I couldn’t stop.

The episodes are currently aired on Netflix so I have access to the world of the Auto Memory Doll who, based on the film, are someone who writes letters for others anywhere in the world.

The story centred around the protagonist. She was considered a tool for war and she doesn’t know any emotion. The major, who Violet was gifted to, didn’t see her as just a tool but as a normal girl. She became an Auto Memory Doll because she wanted to know the meaning of the major’s words. As the story goes, she begins to understand the word “I love you”.

Before I say any SPOILERS, I wanted to tell anyone who wants to watch the series that IT’S ALL GOING TO BE WORTH IT. Especially if you love writing, every word will cut through your heart and it will hurt you enough that you will… I don’t know. You are WARNED.

Before anything else, I am inspired and I am going to get moving and start an inspirational story of my own. To tell the truth, I want to tell good stories as the stories I have heard. I want to touch the heart of all my readers. But my stories should touch mine first.
