On Your Own

I’ve been thinking of a topic to write about. I realized, I don’t have to think. Women always have something bugging their minds all day long anyway. In this blog, I’ll talk spontaneously about women.

There was a quote about girls that I can’t take off of my mind. “Each time a woman stands up for herself, she stands up for all women.”

I am a strong independent woman. Those words became my shield from being helpless. I feel a lot stronger that way. It’s a whole new story at home. Everything hurts. Yet I proved something.

Other issue with“girls” these days is to go home. Alone. At night. Some will say:
“You must go with someone who can protect you.”
“Drive a car or something.”
“Do you think you can walk home BY YOURSELF?”

Like, “yeah, sis. I’m not a crybaby. Are you?” Don’t you realize you’re downgrading women capabilities? Most ladies do it and there’s nothing wrong about it. It’s just your mind that’s telling you to be afraid. (If your home is in the middle of nowhere, that’s, that, I don’t want to talk about it.)

“She believed she could, so she did.”

This quote made me think about greater possibilities. If you ever doubt yourself, it’s not their fault.

Every woman has a story. Things can be rough sometimes. Being a female doesn’t mean we can be downgraded by anyone. I don’t consider myself a feminist, but I believe in women’s power. I’ll just leave it here.
