Morning Coffee

Although I work in a bar, I like to take breakfast elsewhere. Sunday morning, last 2 weeks ago, we decided to visit the caffè bar near our church. I wanted to see how they make their cappuccinos and macchiatos. How they froth lattes in general. In fact, it made me want to learn more.

Being a barista doesn’t make you a good one. It takes months or years to learn how to be better. The more you want to learn something, the more you will gain knowledge about a certain matter. If you are happy in what you do, it does not matter what you make and take. Your work will be better in no time at all.

When we went to the bar, I thought to myself, when will I become as good as the other baristas in town? Do I have to go to a school for frothing milk? Or do I have to have experience to make good milk-marked coffee? That is a thought I would like to take with me on my journey.

Tomorrow, I will work in the morning. So I have to work smarter. I just hope I could do better this time. Because the last time I started early, I was too unprepared and unrealistically unlucky. But every day you learn new things. And I appreciate it.
